I want to light my Legba candle tonight but do not have a charcoal burner.... what else can I use around the house in lieu of a charcoal burner? I have a stainless steel plate and can put tin foil around the charcoal. Would that work and be safe?

Yes also long as it is heat resistant, you are OK. Fold several pieces of foil into a thick square then place on top of the stainless steel plate.
