I finished burning my un hex handle 3 days ago and everything went just fine. Today I followed all of the steps in the booklet and lit my halo candle. Let me tell you that flame consumed the entire thing very quickly. I made sure I put it in the bathroom, far away from my smoke detector. Welp, that didn’t work. It was probably only 30 minutes before the entire room got smokey. I figured it was okay because I didn’t actually smell smoke. I could just see it. Soon there after, my smoke detector goes off. My mom had no idea I was burning a candle and though the alarm went off because she was boiling potatoes too high. I had to think quick so while she poured out the water. I tried to sniff the candle, but it was too stubborn. I poured water on it and the flame got bigger. I had to end up pouring baking soda on it to put the candle out. Now the candle is ruined and I’m too scared to try another candle. My nerves are shot. Smh. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

The lid would have extinguish it
Use the candle cover/lid next time
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I’ll give it a couple of days and do as you suggested and try again.
Clean the baking soda off really good. Sage the candle heavily. Im sorry that happened to you
