Wow you guys... I'm just so angry and upset right now. If you guys remember, about a month ago i was going to set up my papa legba altar and my boyfriend and i got into a fight about it (because he "didn't understand") so we've spent the whole month talking about it and he was finally like ok that's fine. So i planned today to light my altar. Spent all weekend cleaning and gathering offerings. I go to set it up today and he immediately starts fighting with me AGAIN. It's so clear to me now that he's my blockage. In fact, from the first time I've lit unhex he's just been against any candle. I'm so angry and i can't wait until my crossroads candle comes in. I would never disrespect papa by setting up an altar near this man so I guess I'll have to save everything. 😡😠🤬😭😭

Had to move it but i set it up anyway and spoke to legba and explained. As soon as i did i started to tear up. I can feel his presence and he seems pleased 😊 thank you everyone
@The Conjure (Lala) thank you. 💜💜💜 And you're right! I do need to just do it. I was just worried the bad energy would disrespect him, but you're right i think papa knows and sees.
You're spiritual journey is YOURS. Unfortunately some isolation is necessary to get the full benefits and growrh from it. Put your altar up! In not only says you're serious about your spirituality but it forces him to respect your boundaries with it. You deserve that as common courtesy at the least. Some people resist but jump on board when they see the blessings come and witness your growth first hand. Regardless, you still have to walk in your truth.
I have Papa Legba set up in a space in my garage with a private screen. There is also a door to go in so I keep it locked.😌
Wow...I will.only assume that you guys live together, otherwise can you burn any of your candles without him not knowing to clear the tension before setting up Papa?
