1st Pentacle of Mercury Alter Question

This alter calls for mercury to be offered, but the sale and shipping of mercury is banned in California. Is there something else that can be used as an acceptable substitute?

Home Depot has mercury light bulbs and you can also use batteries

I already inqured about batteries but the guy at the store said that only the older button cell batteries in my area will have mercury, but so far none of the stores I went to had Hg on them. So, thank you for the suggestion of light bulbs

You should be able to get the button cell batteries at any store; Walgreens , Walmart, rite aid or any grocery store.

Thermometer, mercury light bulb, etc.

I couldn't find any thermometers out here with mercury, but didn't think about light bulbs. Thank you!
