Hello all, so I recieved my candles and am very excited to start I have read the booklet and reviews for a few days now and just want to make sure I have everything right before I light my candles. I recieved an email that my soul purge was completed yesterday and want to light my halo today. From what i understand I have to cleans the space create an alter light my candle and start the chant for a couple of minutes and leave the cadle on for a good 6 hours or more? Am I missing anything else? And how does one create an alter? I am super new and don't want to make any mistakes. Thank you in advance for your responses 😍

@Jennifer Gariepy You said it! I do my work on a tray and put everything away in a locked up storage trunk. To the boyfriend my alter is my “meditation station”. But u are right on point...boundaries!!
You don't need an alter but rather a clean space that you feel you can focus on and a set up, dedicated for your work. I use a wooden tray and set it up each time I work. I clean it each time I set up and put it away. I like to keep my practice out of the eyes of others. But for me, it's about boundaries.
When i was in “therapy” my therapist had me create a vision board. I have that on my alter also. The board is relationship, family and financially based so it works for me as a visual point of reference also.
