Asking for prayers and healing.

I don't know if this is allowed, but I'm asking the community to please send prayers and healing to my father, Patrick. 22 days ago he went to to ER for what he thought was high blood sugar. It wound up being ischemic colitis. He was hospitalized for 10 days recovering from the pain. About 7 days in he was complaining about severe stomach pain and everyone blew it off as gas. It turned out that he had a duodenal ulcuer, and in the early hours of the 11th day it ruptured his stomach and small instestine. He was sent to emergency surgery and came out fine, but since then had a 2 day spout of afib and it took constant watch and medicine to get his heartbeat regular again. Then his liquid diet drip wasn't approved to contain insulin, despite him being diabetic, so his sugar shot above 800, so high the meter wouldn't read it, and once he got his insulin drip, it dropped so rapidly that he became delerius for 5 days. He's been having flashbacks to vietnam, thinking ships are coming with dead bodies, and screaming in his sleep that he "has to save the little black girls from the gunfire. He can't let the children die."

Really horrifying stuff.

Tonight is the first night I've had to leave him alone in the hospital. My sisters are refusing to back me up here in NJ. My mom flew up from GA to help, but she has to leave on Tuesday, and I have to work a late schedule this week, after missing work for 2 weeks, and I'm so scared to leave him without someone who loves him there when he wakes up. But I have no real choice, I'm running out of money to even get to him in the hospital.

This has been the worst 3 weeks of my entire life. He's 85 years old. He needs all the healing and love he can get, and if you can spare it, we appreciate it.
