Hi friends,
My 14 year old teenage nephew passed away 3 years ago now… I’ve been thinking about including him on my ancestor altar, but haven’t for two reasons: One, his untimely passing was too sad and it broke my heart to even think about - it obviously still does, but I’m more healed about it now and can usually think of him and smile, (rather than spiralling negatively about it).
And two, I wasn’t sure about including a child on the altar? I definitely don’t want to “ask” him for things (I’ll always be his aunty… he should be here asking ME for things), but I do want to honour him and bless his spirit.
I’d love to hear some thoughts from this community about having children on the altar. ❤️

I don’t know much about altars since I’m still learning but you can always have something for him only and remember him and bless him and honor him if you don’t want him to be on everyone ( i mean if you already have an altar)
