Does it matter if you use glass or plastic for the cup of water that sits with the candle?

I was always taught that you would treat the spirits like a very important guest. You bring out the nice things for them. I find the prettiest glasses that I can find and get pretty things
I was always told plastic and magic doesn’t go well together. Wasn’t told why. As a precautionary measure I use glass.
I don't think so. You are serving it to a Spirit, so make sure it's something you would serve others out of.
