The informational card says to discard at a crossroad. I live in New York city. There is always heavy traffic, am I discarding the candle in the middle of am crossroads (four way intersection) or close by the crossroads. The candle has nothing to do with honoring him or other LWA. Ms. LaLa has stated once a candle has completed you can keep the container, throw away, or bury. For those who have an alter can keep the container on their alter.
Also you if you would like to just keep it. Lala has said on her live since it has their veve on it keep it for your alter or you can leave it by your doorways. I've decided to keep mines since it has his veve on it. Or you can discard it. I live not too far from NYC in Philadelphia and the traffic here too is insane.
