So I'm going to be using fertility candle this week. My question is, do I cast on just myself? Just him? Or both? Would I use a joint photo? I have older children from a previous relationship, it would be his first, and he believes he is infertile

Both makes the most sense.
I would say both. Since you want to concieve and you have a specific partner, why not petition that both of you are fertile and procreate together.
