HALO is supposed to automatically remove negativity.
I burned HALO about 4 days after UNHEX as I was impatient.
I cleansed the space physically the night before; the day of I prayed for the area to be cleansed and imagined a white cloud around me as I was chanting, that I reduced to just cover the candle when I was done chanting.
I put the candle in a container with water, then lit it and chanted for 5 minutes to cover the directions: East/Air, South/Fire, West/Water, North/Earth, and Spirit for both.
I wanted the chant to include my family, but I have a family member who is Jehovah Witness and i don't want to 'impose' something on him especially since he did not give permission and probably never would. I alternated between using 'I' and 'My family and I' in the chant.
I let the candle burn for at least 24 hours. Just like with UNHEX, I left it alone and just kept busy doing other things as it was burning.
THE RESULT: I did get the 'Shiver' reaction that I had before for UNHEX burn, so I knew that it had succeeded in whatever it was supposed to do.
However, I did not burn it all the way to the end. The Reason that I realized while talking to my sister was that something inside me suggested "yes, you CAN burn it to the end, but you might not like or be able to handle what comes up". I was shocked, because HALO was supposed to remove negativity, but I guess a part of my being was resisting the healing as it were. I researched in the booklet and the Forum, and realize that (for me anyway) HALO may be like the TRUTH candle: in order to reach some peace, I need to deal with some stuff and the part I played in creating the situation in the first place.
This led to some resentment about the candle, wondering if it was working, but I finally realized that I didn't burn all of HALO due to issues *I* have inside me, not the candle itself.
I have been dealing with a lot recently and I am still feeling vulnerable, so I put the candle aside. I will burn it again this weekend as I feel that there is unfinished business but I didn't want to push it.
So, I would recommend HALO if you are willing to accept what it tells you about why you are blocked in the first place, or at least that has been my personal experience only.
