Halo is doing Her thing

I am in love with this candle. I literally feel like angels are whispering when this candle is out of the box. I finished Unhex last week, waited three days and saw movement for sure. I was going to light Halo tonight after sunset or right at sunrise tomorrow. I chose tonight as this date, August 8th, is the 5 year anniversary of my father leaving this incarnation. You see, my whole family and I are immigrants from Poland. I grew up non-practicing Catholic, later in life found out I was Jewish and converted because I felt more of an affinity with the Jewish tribe and Israel Polish-Catholics; being gay and into African spirituality doesn’t flow well in Catholic Slavic cultures, wven though they are seeped in “superstition.” My father has taught me to look outside of our bubble. Yes, we’re white; yes, we’re immigrants; yes, we’re Poles. But he always encouraged me to absorb all of the variety of cultures that NYC offers. This is why when I first started to get into Santería, he didn’t bat an eye lash. He was very much into ancient Egypt and Egyptian magick and mythology. I know he would LOVE that I am using Lala’s spelled candles and conjuring. My father and I made a pact that if he goes before me, or I before him, the one who dies attempts to make contact. Thirty days after he died, in 2015, or under 30 days I received a message so specific that I knew it was for me. Anyway, I dedicate Halo to my father, Andrzej Zakrzewski, as I know he watches over me. I realized that the bigger deal you make of the spelled candles, the better they work. In this instance I was saging my apartment all day. I went about my day with the intent to cleanse myself of all negativity and be blessed by angels. I set up my working table (this is where I do all my magick) with a cloth, Halo with my chant written on special parchment paper under it, the herbs that came with it sprinkled around. I added two pink candles, two white tea lights (I found ones on Amazon that burn for up to 8 hours), a white quartz crystal, some pink quartz crystals and the bracelet and stone that came with Halo. Basically, it was an all day production and I was preparing myself mentally as if it was a special day with a special ceremony coming. The more you add to “support” Halo, or any other spelled candle, the better the results. You should be obsessed with the spell at the time you’re doing it, channeling all that energy into the candle and the flame. Remember what @Lala Inuti Ahari said: no lazy conjure! From now on every candle, spelled or conjure, will have additional props with it to boost its power. I already feel like Halo is placing a halo of protective energy around me. I trust these candles, I believe in the power of Hoodoo, Vodou, Conjure and Lala as much as I believe that water is wet and the sky is blue. As always, grateful to her, her ancestors and my ancestors for allowing me to be at this place, at this very time sharing my thoughts with all you beautiful people. Ashé!
