Is anyone casting circles when conjuring?

Even though it was not a conjure candle and am not Wiccan, I did cast one when doing unhex.. not from necessarily from the start but when I felt rather uneasy.. I just did so suddenly as if I was being told you when I did so..

I used salt but the thing is I am not sure if it was good enough as I could not continue to stay by the candle. I don’t have space around people where no one will be near any of my candles.. sometimes I have to move them but yeah.. in the bathroom I felt called to do so because my bathroom felt like it had activity in there that night.. and I did not want them (any energies or any “thing”) to interfere with my candle.
