I didn’t take it as Damballah being evil in child’s play . Child’s play was my favorite movie as a child . My only favorite movie as a child and never in the movie did they say Damballah was bad . Only those who know vodou know about damballah . Take it from a woman who was brought up in a Christian household . No one knew the true origin of that chant …. I’m not sure why u think it was portrayed as bad … because nothing in the movie really spoke of damballah other than the chant used but nothing was said bad . I honestly do believe the creator of the movie actually was doing vodou himself and sought out to damballah wedo which is how child’s play ended up being so popular and everyone loved it
