Layering before Papa?

Hello all! I wanted to know what other candles to light before Papa Legba? I’ve already searched through previous posts and couldn’t find anything (unless I missed it). So far I’ve started with the Unhex, and now Halo. Your advice is greatly appreciated 🤍🤍🤍

Papa Legba opens doors and removes obstacles, so I would say if you're following a sequential order, it would be where Crossroads is.

Crossroads

But working with the LWA is more about the relationship vs asking for a request to be granted. I would build a relationship with Papa Legba first (if you haven't already).

@Jay Millz The Legba rite is based on Lala's relationship with Papa Legba.

You'd start a relationship with the LWA the same as you would a normal person. Speak to them, do your research to learn about them. Speak to Legba and sit in it. Think of how you feel in those moments. Think about offerings, what you feel pulled to offer. Look for signs, but don't obsess about it. It should be organic.

For example...I was in the supermarket and had like two things in my hand...but my keys fell. Then they fell again...then again...Almost like I had slippery hands. LOL Me: DAMMIT...why am I so clumsy! On the last time, as I was coming up from getting my keys, I saw coconut water. I just laughed...especially because I wasn't even supposed to be in that aisle.
