MARS is the candle for protection from your enemies. It was the main reason why I wanted to buy Conjure candles, but I decided to invest in the Beginner Bundle first based on the Forum testimonials.
As before, I physically cleansed the space the night before and prayed away negativity the day of the burn. The candle was placed in a container with water in it to prevent fire.
MARS was . . . interesting. Like others had discussed in the Forum, MARS seemed to refuse to stay lit repeatedly. I even called it stupid because I as so frustrated, but I apologized to it after because I still wanted it to work. I finally did what someone suggested and added match sticks close to the wick to help keep it lit. I finally had about 4 match sticks around the wick which seemed to do the trick.
The flame itself was yellow on top and blue below right on the wick itself at least it was after adding matchsticks. I think that I had seen that if the candle burns low that it may not be the best time to light it, or spirit is telling me that it can't help me with that problem for now. I checked the Forum, the internet and some books that I had to try to come up with a solution.
Since I tend to over analyze things, I wondered if MARS wasn't working because it was trying to protect me from . . . me? I *do* have some self destructive behaviours that I need to work on I will admit. In terms of physical danger, I live in Canada in the Prairies so I am not in as much physical danger as a lot of people, even though I'm a Black woman.
I did get the 'shiver' that the other candles gave, but it was slow and tingly as I was first lighting it. I usually burn the candle a little longer after that then snuff it or let it burn out completely. For MARS, I felt the 'shiver' as I was lighting it in the beginning. Maybe that was an indication that I didn't need to burn it for more than 6 hours? I don't know, but I will think on it and possibly burn it again after the HALO re-burn before I finally burn GOOD FORTUNE.

I think lot of times it has to do with the wick, I lit my Mars on Saturday afternoon and flame was fine and then I noticed that wick was drowning and flame was almost gone but candle didn’t went out. I poured the wax out little bit and move the herbs away and it was on until Sunday night. I wanted it to burn out completely but it’s half done but flame stayed low. I’m hoping to finish it after my next candle.
