This candle of mine burnt for good 18hrs in very low flame but with continuous flickering noise and burnt out by itself. Any idea what the spirit is trying to tell me.....any suggestions please.

It means that spirit has ended the work. Your target could be well protected. You can try relighting and wording your chanting/petition differently.
I could be wrong but my thoughts are bringing this person to you isn’t granted by the spirits.
