Does his alter have to be by the front door or can it be in the basement I’m limited with room can i dedicate a tree outside in my backyard for him I’m tryna think of some creative ways because i have no space

Ideally his altar would be near a door or window but I don't really think it matters. There are some things that are "required" and others that are "recommended" but not required. I think the location is one of those recommended by not required things.
