Is there a specific way to fold them or does it not really matter? Asking because I want to come correct lol. Dont want to make any unnecessary mistakes

Yup that part and clockwise turn for positive or bring to you.
the opposite of that if you wanna keep away from you or anything negative or baneful. Ie anticlockwise.
You fold the paper toward you to bring things into your life (and turn the paper clockwise as you fold). If you want to banish something out of your life you do the opposite. Fold the paper away from you and turn the paper counter clockwise.
