Preparation

Hey conjure family. What's good? What's poppin? What it do? How everyone doing?

I have been collecting brown paper bags. I am using them for petitions. I have been creative with writing petitions...

Until my candles arrives, then I am going to make preparations for them. I bought a sage stick a few years ago And I never threw them away. This year I use them. Every week I clean my counter and sage afterwards... The end of the month I am going to wash the floors in my house with blockbuster floor wash. I have been holding on to things for years and this year I'm gonna command my year to be a good year... I pray every night and give praises when I wake up in the morning. I did my braids they are cornrow in the front. Box braid in the back.

Hello! Can you tell me the significance of braiding your hair? I truly don’t understand how it helps with spiritual growth. Honestly don’t and under but I do want to understand.

Hey how are you doing??? I just wanted to fix myself up for this year. I actually transition to braids years ago so my hair can grow more. I use to have perms in my hair when I was a little girl but chemicals are in perms and isn't good for your hair. I just wash shampoo and braid my hair... it boost my confidence when I'm down plus I like to look good.

I always try to maintain my hair all the time because well braiding is easy to do and twisting. I like to keep traditions because of what my ancestors went through back in the days...the way I look at it is freedom to do whatever you want with hair through braids... when my hair gets nappy I straighten it with a pressing comb. And I don't keep heat on my hair. Very seldom.

I don't like looking like everyone else. When there were models back in the days makeup consists of one color. African American didn't have different color hues for their face. That was a struggle. Of course now days there are a variety of color hues for the face and eyes. I do believe that in the midst of that and in slavery days that there was a struggle with the African American hair in regards of maintaining it. Thank God for madame CJ walker.

I like my s curls. I like seeing new growth accumulating and retwisting it. And rebraiding afterwards. I only use hair oil hair butter spray mist hair mask, apple cider vinegar rinse, hair foam stuff.

It makes me feel like I'm in control and I have the power at the crown of my head... makes me feel like I'm the baddest b$$$$ in Tennessee. Braids and twists does something for me. Braids make me feel like I am a goddess. You don't have to transition to braids or twists if you don't want to. This is what I chose. I enjoy transitioning to braids. I have no regrets.
