When using candles, should there be at least 3 days between lighting one candle to the next or is it 3 days between them starting only when the first candle is entirely melted away

If I burn on Sunday and if my candle goes out on Tues...I don't burn again until Friday or Sat.
I question whether the 3 day is on the third day or after the third day has passed. If I burn on Monday, can I burn again on Thursday or Friday? What is everybody else doing?
3 days after you’ve either completed a candle in it’s entirety or you’ve completed the minimum 6 hour burn. Either way the clock starts after the fire is out. Alternatively, you may move on to the next candle sooner if you see movement. I personally have not moved on sooner than 3 days after.
