I just ordered Papa Legba and Erzulie. I want to respectfully and properly light them. My first question is when I set up Papa’s and light his candle, how do I dispose after it goes out? Do I get rid of the entire altar or just the candle and offerings? Can I keep lighting red candles & giving offerings for him after? to to pay respect. Second, once I light Erzulie, do I have to do her somewhere completely different. I’m not sure at all how to properly do it when it comes to setting altars. I don’t want to just use it and dispose of randomly. Any and all advice will be MUCH appreciated! ♥️

You can dispose of you which at the crossroads. Or keep the candle jar with his Veve on it and add it to his personal alter. Yes you continue to offer gifts, light up candles, dark rum talk to him. As far as Erzulie alter goes....I’m not sure if she had to to be lit in another room but it’s the as papa. Except you don’t dispose of the candle at the crossroads. I would keep her also. I have her didn’t light her yet.
