SATURDAY SAFEGUARDING: Bay Leaf Protection Spray

Saturday is ruled by Saturn. One of the things Saturn focuses on is protection. Bay leaves can be worked with for added protection when needed. Below is a quick recipe you can use for protection. SUPPLIES Bay leaves Water Saucepan with a lid Glass spray bottle INSTRUCTIONS 1. Fill the saucepan with 9 oz of water. 2. Place 9 bay leaves in the water. 3. Let it boil for 3-5 minutes. 4. Remove from heat. 5. Place the lid on the saucepan to steep bay leaves for 9-11 minutes. 6. Remove lid to let bay leaf tea cool. 7. Pour the cooled bay leaf tea in a glass spray bottle. 8. Spray it on the crown of your head and a little on the back of your neck when you need extra protection. 9. Store it in the refrigerator. Use it within about 11 days. Side notes: • Bay leaf tea actually helps with hair growth (among many other benefits) • You can add other protection herbs and protection essential oils as well. Since you will be spraying your scalp/crown, you may want to avoid adding salt. • The glass bottle shown in the picture is an old rosewater bottle I had. I reuse it.

Candle work in a jar? No, burn on a metal plate. For stand alone candles (tapers, votives, chime, etc.), you can burn those on a glass or porcelain plate.

You can use a plastic spray bottle too after it has cooled down a lot.

When I’m done pouring the bay leaf tea, I put the bay leaves in my compost pile outside. You can put them at a tree when you’re done. Or just outside around your entrance.
