I'm not trying to show family that I have a stash of candles going on, but would the trunk of my car be ok? Does the heat melting the candles affect the spells?

I use a small and a medium size tote... I put the ones that I’m actively using in a small tote that also has some of my offerings and sage stick and incense, and slide it under my bed and take them out as I’m ready to use them.
Don't use your trunk, yes they could melt. If possible, don't put them all in one spot, that way you'll have more space where ever you choose.
Hide them in a suitcase or somewhere deep in your closet.
