I wanna do an unhex for 3 of my friends who may have spells on them . Can I make petitions for them in put them in the flame & burn it in a metal bowl ? do I still have to let the candle burn for 6 hours ?

Yes, at minimum 6 hours (preferably 6 hours per person or 12-18 hours), but that's up to you. Many people burn the petition (not the picture).
