Newbie here! I see some people using water with their spelled candles? What’s the purpose of using the glass of water with the spelled candles? Thanks!

I am mainly using it to prevent a bad fire with fam around and not being able to leave the candle in shared room anymore and having to keep it in shared bathroom..
i put my candle plate and candle inside of a bowl of water. Only thing is seems to makes the burns longer a bit but safety first..
I always offer water to all the candles and alcohol. I get lots of bubbles too.
But I didn’t see anything in the book stating u need a glass of water. Just lite the candle do your chant and let it take its course. Be patient and things will happen
It is a hoodoo practice to have all four of the elements earth, air, wind, and water present when doing spiritual work.
