Do y'all write your petitions on your targets' picture? I'm used to writing all over my pictures. Do people still do that?

I was thinking of doing this as well. Could you write the petition on top of the picture like of his face and his information on the back? (Full name etc)
When you use pictures - is a print out from computer good and does it matter if it’s color or black and white? I’ve never used picture before so wondering if I can just print it out. My printer is black and white.
