It has been burning like this all night making tons of cracking noises. I notice there’s a lot of wax. Any thoughts?

You can pour out some of the wax if you’d like to. I’d pour the wax in a circle clockwise motion, then set the candle inside of the circle.
Use a metal object to scrape off black crust. Cracking noise are normal
