You can also burn your petition in your candle flame or in a cast iron cauldron, and if there is candle left save it for another time.

The book gives good ideas on disposal. I like burying my petitions in my potted plants on my porch (since I live in an apartment without a “front yard”). Other times I visit the beach (since I am a child of Yemaya) and bury my petitions, candles, and other positive spell work there in the sand.
